As of 2018-05 if you use plot a route between Nairn an Tomatin you'll be told that you can take the path a long the Findhorn River:
Be warned - if you try that you'll have to ford the river at least twice! Actually the tour starts quite nice. Until it ends in the middle of nowhere and you might have to ford the river.
